Perhaps you would like to have a very open-plan office or you would like to move in and get up and running before finalising your layout? If so, a Cat A fit out could be right for your enterprise. Many commercial landlords opt for Cat A fit outs so their prospective tenants are offered something of a blank canvas.
What is the difference between Cat A fit outs and Cat B?
A Cat A fit out means supplying power, lighting and other elements in an office via a recessed flooring system and/or a suspended ceiling. Perimeter walls may be lined along with other key infrastructure but internal partitions, breakout areas and so on won’t be. In other words, fuller installations are offered with Cat B fit outs.
Does Lanext Construction undertake shell and core fit outs, too?
Yes, we do. A shell and core fit out means putting the bare bones on a commercial workspace. If wanted, we can remove the current fit out infrastructure so the workspace is ready to be fitted out once new commercial tenants have been secured.
When is a Cat A+ fit out a good idea?
This would be a smart move if you want to offer prospective clients an office they can immediately move into with additional functionality while allowing them the room to develop their own space. As such, this sort of service sits between Cat A and Cat B fit outs. It might include a meeting room and a comms room, for example, but an open space everywhere else for a new interpretation or workflow operation.
