    Do I need a Cat A or B office fit out?

    You will need a Cat B office fit out if you have specific plans for the way your office will work with your current staffing levels. Cat A office fit outs, on the other hand, provide the bare bones for businesses. As such, they tend to offer commercial landlords a blank canvas they can show to prospective new tenants.

    Is planning consent required for office refurbishment work?

    Not usually, unless the office refurbishment work will involve external work for some reason and the building is in a conservation area. You may need permission from your landlord, however, if you rent your commercial premises rather than owning them outright.
